Customer Review: Good gift for the man/woman who has everything.

This unit only lasted 1 month before it started going haywire, but the one we had before (same model) lasted years. Maybe this one just sat around too long, because when we bought it, it was no longer available new, but we found it NIB from an amazon seller. Oregon Scientific was very easy to deal with in getting a replacement. We just emailed them describing the problem, faxed them our receipt and they shipped us out a new one. Only it is a newer model, called the Weather Series 200, and the main unit does not hang on the wall like the old one; it is made to sit on a shelf. The outdoor unit doesn't fit in the old bracket. The bottom line is once you have one of these, you miss it when it's gone. We depended on it to see the outdoor temperature from the inside! It also has an atomic clock, high/low temp memory, and an ice alert. Higher numbered models have even more cool features.
